U of S - 113/114 Seminary
Abatement and demolition of five existing buildings located on the University of Saskatchewan campus. The project included the safe removal and proper disposal of all hazardous materials, followed by complete structural demolition, foundation removal, and full site restoration.

Wellington Bridge
Demolition and removal of the Wellington Bridge, a concrete arch structure originally constructed in 1932, undertaken due to the bridge reaching the end of its service life.

Erin Ridge - Citadel Mews
Demolition of fire ravaged property which was once a 95 unit assisted and independent living seniors complex. Entire superstructure was removed without damaging underground parking level and reinforced slab.

Mt. Robson Inn - Jasper Wildfire
Demolition and removal of all fire-damaged building materials and foundations at the Mt. Robson Inn in Jasper, Alberta, following the catastrophic Jasper wildfire.

St.Jerome School
Abatement and demolition of an existing elementary school to facilitate site preparation for the construction of a new replacement facility located in Edmonton, Alberta.

City of Calgary - Kingsland School
Abatement and demolition of the former Kingsland Elementary School in Calgary, Alberta, followed by full site restoration. The site has since been redeveloped into a neighbourhood park.

Quartz Creek Bridge
Demolition and removal of a steel girder bridge on the former Highway 1, situated approximately 90 feet above the environmentally sensitive Quartz Creek. Challenging site conditions, including steep banks and high erosion risk, required specialized rope access techniques for all work.

Covenant Health South Campus
As part of a redevelopment of the Covenant Health, McColman was engaged to perform the hazardous materials abatement, building demolition, and site demolition. Project included hazardous material abatement of 3 level structure, demolition removal of heavy steel and concrete structures, and demolition of ashpalt.

Hwy 5 Remediation - Bottletop Bridge
This was part of the HWY 5 Flood Remediation project which saw damage to major infrastructure to floods in the Fall of 2021. We were contracted to remove the deck and salvage the existing girders so they could be erected as a temporary structure on another site.

Dentistry Pharmacy Building
As part of the building modernization at the U of A, Edmonton. This project involved demolition and removal of the East,West, North and Central wings of the 7 storey building, and the demolition of the reactor room plus structural modifications to the central wing of this heritage buidling.

Fire Hall No. 1 - City of St. Albert
City of St. Albert contracted us to perform the Hazardous Material Abatement, Demolition, and Site Restoration for the old Fire Hall No. 1 Building at 18 Sir Winston Churchill Ave, this was the first official fire hall in St. Albert built in 1962.

169-176 Nato Drive, Moosejaw
Complete hazardous material abatement & disposal, demolition and removal of eight row housing units and sheds including foundations. All units footprints were backfilled, and topsoil was spread.

Mills Memorial Hospital
The demolition of former Seven Sisters Mental Health Facility and Abatement and Demolition of the former Mills Memorial Hospital. This represented a large-scale decommissioning LEED project.

ATCO - Chipewyan Lake
Decommissioning of the Chipewyan Lake plant involving the removal and disposal of all buildings plus the removal of all foundations.

Maligne Lodge - Jasper Wildfire
Demolition and removal of all fire-damaged building materials and foundations at the Maligne Lodge in Jasper, Alberta, following the catastrophic Jasper wildfire.

Yellowhead Trail Conversion
Demolition and Removal of various properties from 97 St to St Albert Trail to make way for the Yellowhead Trail conversion in Edmonton, Alberta.

6 Superior Street Devon
As part of a redevelopment project to accommodate a new Shoppers Drug Mart, McColman & Sons Demolition Ltd. was engaged to complete the hazardous materials abatement and building demolition.

Royal Glenora Club
Demolition of the existing gymnasium superstructure at the Royal Glenora Club in Edmonton, Alberta, completed with a focus on safety, precision, and minimal disruption to surrounding operations.

Former Bill Reece - YMCA Edmonton
As part of the Valley Line West LRT project City of Edmonton contracted us to perform the Hazardous Material Abatement, Demolition, and Site Restoration for the former Bill Reece YMCA Building. This project was located on the corner of 102nd Ave and 105 St with zero set back from city sidewalk.

Four Seasons Aquatic Centre
We were contracted by the City of Prince George to perform the Hazardous Material Abatement, and Demolition. The pool first opened in 1970 and was the location where many people who grew up in the city first learned to swim. The old pool was no longer needed as a new pool was constructed adjacent to the property.

Derald Palmer Arena - Fox Creek
Contract awarded in spring of 2021, this project involved abatement of all hazardous materials, demolition and removal of arena structure in close proximity to curling rink, recycling and disposal of all materials, backfill of voids, and full restoration including spreading topsoil and hydroseeding.

Wye School Elementary
Contracted by Elk Island Public Schools, this project involved Demolition and Site Restoration. It was the end of an era for the Wye Elementary School as demolition crews carried out their work on Monday, Nov. 16, this school has now been replaced by Heritage Hills Elementary School.
