Covenant Health South Campus
As part of a redevelopment of the Covenant Health, McColman was engaged to perform the hazardous materials abatement, building demolition, and site demolition. Project included hazardous material abatement of 3 level structure, demolition removal of heavy steel and concrete structures, and demolition of ashpalt.
Hwy 5 Remediation - Bottletop Bridge
This was part of the HWY 5 Flood Remediation project which saw damage to major infrastructure to floods in the Fall of 2021. We were contracted to remove the deck and salvage the existing girders so they could be erected as a temporary structure on another site.
Dentistry Pharmacy Building
As part of the building modernization at the U of A, Edmonton. This project involved demolition and removal of the East,West, North and Central wings of the 7 storey building, and the demolition of the reactor room plus structural modifications to the central wing of this heritage buidling.
Fire Hall No. 1 - City of St. Albert
City of St. Albert contracted us to perform the Hazardous Material Abatement, Demolition, and Site Restoration for the old Fire Hall No. 1 Building at 18 Sir Winston Churchill Ave, this was the first official fire hall in St. Albert built in 1962.
Former Bill Reece - YMCA Edmonton
As part of the Valley Line West LRT project City of Edmonton contracted us to perform the Hazardous Material Abatement, Demolition, and Site Restoration for the former Bill Reece YMCA Building. This project was located on the corner of 102nd Ave and 105 St with zero set back from city sidewalk.
Four Seasons Aquatic Centre
We were contracted by the City of Prince George to perform the Hazardous Material Abatement, and Demolition. The pool first opened in 1970 and was the location where many people who grew up in the city first learned to swim. The old pool was no longer needed as a new pool was constructed adjacent to the property.
Derald Palmer Arena - Fox Creek
Contract awarded in spring of 2021, this project involved abatement of all hazardous materials, demolition and removal of arena structure in close proximity to curling rink, recycling and disposal of all materials, backfill of voids, and full restoration including spreading topsoil and hydroseeding.
Wye School Elementary
Contracted by Elk Island Public Schools, this project involved Demolition and Site Restoration. It was the end of an era for the Wye Elementary School as demolition crews carried out their work on Monday, Nov. 16, this school has now been replaced by Heritage Hills Elementary School.
